Music and rhythm are important in reading – they help build fluency! Consider learning the ABCs. When children are first learning their ABCs, they learn them with a song. The song helps them to remember what they are learning and progress from one letter to the next. And it’s fun.
Basic octaves of music are each connected with a colour and portray a particular emotion. This is how they go;
‘Do’ is taken from the cry of the peacock and is embedded in the color green;
‘Re’ cries the skylark and vibrates the colour red;
‘Mi’ is the bleat of a goat and shines all gold;
‘Fa’ is from the heron, with yellow and white;
‘So’ is the croon of the nightingale and wears the black;
‘La’ is the neigh of the horse and radiates yellow;
‘Si’ is the trumpet of the elephant and is a combination of all colours
The child learns the usage of numbers skills by counting, sorting, matching, ordering, pattern making and also by the ‘Small Bazaar Day’ where the child will be taught how to buy small things with money on one week day.
A child’s mind is like cloud which cannot be captured. We at Seagulls School have introduced creativity as in exciting and experimenting skill for the child to know colours, shapes, people, role plays, music, dance and the power to recognize light from dark, soung from silence, hard from soft, and good from bad and so on…
Learning is compartmentalized, yet one small activity will break the stagnancy and create the power to interest a child’s mind to learn a new – for there is no match to his pattern of colours, visions and thinking. At Seagulls, tremendous efforts were made to create a curriculum which reflected around the belief that a child physically develops very rapidly in their early years. They need a constant check on their motor and cognitive skills along with their co-ordinations. The school is fully equipped with games and methods which will happily guide them towards the right use of their physical energies. So we all want these young ones to be happy and content and at Seagulls we have a much trained staff to do so.
The child’s physical development is incomplete without him being physically strong and healthy. At Seagulls, cleanliness and hygiene are the most important criteria, for child’s development. We have a visiting pediatrition, who would guide us for children’s physical attributes.
The early morning hours are dedicated to child yogic development to enhance his balance between body, mind and soul, so that these little flowers should not wilt away as the day goes by.
Communication and Language
The young ones are encouraged to speak and listen effectively. Each child is given a platform to express his thoughts and ideas. They are introduced to a wide range of bedtime stories and rhymes to enjoy the meaning of words through expressions.

We at the Seagulls, inculcate in children the basic value of ‘Magic Words’, patience, giving, helping and being thankful!
